Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops Review

I was so happy when I heard back from this company that I would be able to try their throat drops.  The history of them is quite interesting so I'll give you a quick run down!  (If you want the full story go here!)

It started out in 1870 when two brothers were determined to created a throat lozenge to help relieve their own sore throat and their family members.  The company was bought out by the Life Saver's company in 1930 reaching their peak popularity in the 1970's.  After being sold by the Life Saver's company they were bought and resold several times leaving them left in the dust due to cuts made in quality.  Finally, after being revived by the former owner and creator of the Airborne company, the recipe was located and the packaging was redesigned.  In 2011, the new product was launched and Mr. Pine can once again rest peacefully knowing that our throats are soothed!

I have wonderful memories of my father having these cough drops when I was younger.  As soon as I popped one of these in my mouth I just smiled.  They are exactly the way I remember them!  The drops are just as described, "softish".  They are almost the consistancy of a hard gummy bear.  They are slippery and very soothing to the throat.  I love that ingredients are simple as well.  They are listed as: Gum Acacia, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Glycerine, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Colored with Elderberry Concentrate, Sun ower Oil, Caranuba Wax.
